Warehousing industry is an integration of transportation, storage center and information center, modern warehousing industry is a result of economic globalization, also a important service industry pushing economic globalization. More and more countries has large warehouse service.
High efficiency LED lighting system is perfect choice for logistics operation efficiency. Warehouse can be classified as low bay, medium bay and high bay according to different ceiling height.
Low bay warehouse: <5m(16ft)
Medium bay warehouse: 5 ~10ft(16ft ~ 32ft)
Highbay bay warehouse: >10m(32ft)
Features of warehouse lighting
High quality industrial lighting not only requires all kinds of extreme lighting environment, reduce energy, also provide comfortable visual environment letting people working in a good working condition for long time and increase work efficiency and reduce miswork, reduce accident.
Proper luminance standard and lighting uniformity, reduce unnecessary shadow and clear visual performance are very important, for example, non-flickering LED driver, good CRI(color rendering index), more even lighting performance, low photo-thermal and low ultraviolet ray and loss URG, make sure people work in a comfortable, relaxed environment.

(1)Meet lighting requirement in night working requirement
Most operation working interior, usually it required artificial lighting in night time and daytime, artificial lighting can not match to natural lighting effect, what we need do is imitating natural lighting and increase working efficiency and reduce error rate.
Lighting designer will do a proper lighting simulation according to lighting standard and actual area, to guarantee a perfect lighting level, also has high CRI and higher lighting efficiency.
(2)Take comfortable visual effect in the meantime of brightness required.
Warehouse lighting has business with wall height, material and space area. For example, in a small space warehouse, the canopy has smaller proportion in our field of view, it has smaller effect on illuminance, while wall has larger proportion in our field of view and larger effect on illuminance. So we need to use wall with reflectivity and canopy with low reflectivity, on the contrary, for big house, we need to use canopy with high reflectivity and wall with low reflectivity. Proper lighting layout to meet even lighting brightness and low URG, low glare and no shadow.

(3)Meet requirements of energy saving and reach low carbon demand
As we know, LED Lighting have advantages compared conventional lighting, including higher lighting efficiency, high CRI, high PFC and etc. We recommend warehouse contractor can go for LED lighting for your warehouse lighting, which can not only supply better lighting performance and low electricity bill, but also reduce maintenance cost since led lighting has longer lifespan and stable quality.
(4)What kinds of lighting fixtures for warehouse lighting
Usually low height warehouse, we can suggest 120~150W UFO Highbay Light, medium height warehouse 150W/200W UFO Highbay Light and high height level warehouse requires 200W highbay light.
Another situation is lighting upgrade from conventional HID highbay light, usually we can use 120W or 150W LED highbay to replace existing 250W HID highbay light, and 200W LED highbay to replace 400W HID highbay light. For specific lighting recommendation, clients need to contact supplier to get lighting fixture technical parameters.
The below case is we did for a warehouse, its installation height is 5 meters and we did lighting simulation on 200lx requirements.
